West Hills Community Church is excited to host Faith and Family University on November 16, 2024.

This family-focused educational conference is designed for the whole family. We will provide childcare for children under 5 and classes for children K-5. A Middle and High School youth track will provide some focused session times, and all youth are encouraged to attend additional sessions labeled for all participants. A family style lunch will be provided for all participants and children.

We will spend a day engaging in important topics that impact our lives through the lens of our faith and hope in Jesus Christ. Sessions on topics such as financial health, marriage enrichment and Christian parenting will be offered alongside classes to grow your faith walk such as personal bible study methods, confidence in sharing the gospel, and more. Specialized topics in addiction recovery, living through grief, suicide awareness and prevention and how to talk about the sanctity of life with your kids will also be available. It is our prayer that this day is a time of learning and growing together as a community. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Financial Fitness Session 1: Your first steps to a secure future, and what to do if money struggles are getting you down now! Presenter: Jim Warner in Portable Classroom 1
    • Session 1: This class introduces biblical financial principles, “Baby Steps” to financial stability, basic spending rules and setting the “4 walls” of crisis survival. It is a great first step along the way to freedom from financial worry and stress. Plus, a “where do I go from here?” suggestion of resources and next steps.
  • Bible Study Methods - The Bible is timeless and timely. It draws us closer to God. It holds His wisdom. And it is a treasure beyond compare.  Presenter: Scott Bradley in Portable Classroom 2​
  • "Who's Shaping Whom?" This session focuses on placing technology in a proper theological and biblical framework, aiding individuals in developing a personal "theology of technology." Presenter: Dr. Sam Baker in Library Classroom

  •  Financial Fitness Session 2: One wise choice at a time: Saving, Earning, Spending and Giving. How you can get from here to your goals and financial peace. Presenter: Jim Warner in Portable Classroom (Session 1 attendance is not required).
    • Session 2. A very direct way to approach getting our financial health on the right track. From giving to saving, learning to earning, turning habits from financially weak to strong and more! Specific proven skills and choices moving you towards financial peace. This class is open to all and builds on the Financial Fitness session. Plus, suggestions on future steps and resources.
  • Reaching the Hearts of Children: Strategies and resources to share the gospel with children. Presenter: Melissa Glad in Portable Classroom 4
