I recommend this book to every man in our church. It’s an easy to read book on why there is such a gender gap in so many churches. Why are church pews filled with more women than men? Murrow answers that question with great articulation and simplicity. Churches are not masculine enough. His writes that the masculine spirit needs to be promoted more in Christian churches, programs and groups.
Murrow believes that men are the largest “unreached people group” in our country. But he counters with encouraging advice and support for making positive changes in our church culture. Over and over again, Murrow cites healthy churches that understand the masculine spirit and tap into it without discouraging the feminine spirit of women.
