Easy to read and very inspirational. Batterson takes his core theme from 2 Samuel 23:20-21. The valiant warrior, Benaiah, was said to have chased a lion into a pit and killed it on a snowy day… certainly an example of bravery and proactive living! Batterson takes this short verse and teaches principles of overcoming personal fears and seizing opportunities in life.
The book is inspirational in nature and Biblically sound. Batterson writes with a pastor’s heart and experience, and also with youth and vigor.
A must read for people considering a change in careers, making big decisions, contemplating vocational ministry, or anyone who is wanting to move out of fear based living and into a passionate pursuit of God’s best for their lives.
