This book is Ravi Zacharias’ brief rebuttal to Sam Harris’ book, Letter to a Christian Nation.  Sam Harris is an atheist who attacks America for being too Christian and not scientific.  Sam Harris is an atheistic secularist.  So in The End of Reason, Zacharias responds to Harris’ claims. 

 Zacharias speaks against atheism as a supportable moral system.  He speaks against atheism as a justifiable foundation for politics, economics, charity, health and life issues (abortion, stem-cell research, cloning). 

 Further, Zacharias refutes atheism as a grounds for personal, existential happiness.

I especially liked Zacharias’ thoughts on the bankruptcy of atheism to address pain and suffering in the world.

 This book is written in polemic style, arguing specifically against another writing.
