Packiam explores the
theme of the downfalls of living someone else’s faith.
With insightful narrative, he warns Christians about living a life
not connected to God. He starts
off by recounting his own pain in the moral downfall of his senior pastor.
That pain caused him to re-think his relationship with God and
reasons for doing ministry.
Packiam goes on to
describe four rumors about God: 1) God will give me what I want,
2) God can be added to my list of loyalties, 3) God is pleased with
my goodness, and 4) God prefers specialists.
I highly recommend it for a fresh dose of inspiration.
